1923
The winner of the first edition of the "Grand Prix d'Endurance de 24 Heures" (as it was officially named) was André Lagache and René Léonard driving a Chenard et Walker Sport 3.0 L.This is also the first 1-2 finish of the history of the race: the other Chenard & Walker #10 finished second. Although this race saw a lot of rain and even hail only three cars retired out of 33 entrants.
