A few months ago I bought on e-Bay an old Provence Moulage kit of a Le Mans 1949 Delahaye with the engine compartment visible. It was the starting point for this diorama. Then I bought a SLM 43 kit of a Delahaye which, too, raced at Le Mans in 1949. For the purpose of this diorama I made it with the wheel turning left . The driver turning to the left comes from JADE as well as all the other drivers and mechanics . The figurines for the spectators are from different makes. When this race run I was 2 weeks old.
The cars of this diorama are:
FERRARI 166 MM # 22 - Winner - (IXO)
ASTON MARTIN DB1 # 29 - 11th - (Kit PROVENCE MOULAGE)
TALBOT LAGO GS # 1 - Quit 11th Hour - (Kit RENAISSANCE)
SIMCA GORDINI # 50 - Quit 11th Hour (PARADCAR)
DELAHAYE 175 S 4.5 l #3 - Quit 52nd lap - (Kit PROVENCE MOULAGE)
DELAHAYE 135 S #11 - 5th - (Kit SLM 43)
