It's the beginning of a new era. Still one Bentley and one Mercedes but the new generations are coming. The favorites are Bugatti and Alfa Romeo and in the smaller class Aston Martin arrived with a strong work team. The accident of the Bugatti driven by Rost led the two remaining cars to retire leaving the victory to Alfa Romeo. The Mercedes finished second and a Talbot complete the podium.

Only 17 cars at the start. The smallest in history. It started as a duel between Bentley and Mercedes, but after ten hours it was over. Fifth victory for Bentley and the last one until the modern times. Two British Talbots finished on the podium.
